There have been lots of very welcome new faces joining us at The Hollies over the past few months including, Jo, Verlie, and a welcome back to Amy.

Jo was born in Wotton under Edge and started nursing in 1976. Jo loves caring for the elderly and has also been involved in training and developing the team since she started in April.

Jo is a keen gardener and also spends time looking after her grandson. She enjoys spending time riding her horses and walking her dogs. Jo has a sister and jointly they care for their father.

In her early years Jo trained as a singer. She loves travel on motor bikes and managed to combine the two, travelling all over Europe on her motorbike performing.

Amy qualified as a nurse 5 years ago and is a local girl, born in Stroud Maternity Hospital. Amy’s son Archie is just a year old so occupies most of her time on days off!

Amy is another keen traveller; her most memorable trip was to the Maldives for her honeymoon in 2013. Also, Amy has the strange talent of being able to talk backwards!
