A Visit From the MP

Posted on Posted in Distinguished Visitors, News, Care home

On Thursday 19th September, we were delighted to have had the privilege of receiving a visit from our local MP, David Drew.

David is an active member of the Stroud community, listening and engaging with the public as much as he can. From pub politics to visiting care homes such as The Hollies, his goal is to make the Stroud community a vibrant place for all.

David Drew, Local MP UK

David aims to spend as much time with local businesses, community groups and residents of his constituency. Because of this, we were more than happy to welcome him here at The Hollies. As David is a Shadow Minister for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, it was good to catch up over common interests of Stroud’s rural, countryside communities.

Here at the Hollies, we love welcoming visitors of all kinds. From family, friends and entertainment groups for our residents to community officials like our MP, David Drew.

Tea and Cakes, The Hollies Care Home

David spend a large part of the afternoon meeting with all our lovely residents and staff. He even had time for a spot of high tea and cakes (which, who doesn’t love?).
