A home from home…
Our new purpose built Holly Oak is designed to create a home from home.
Set in an idyllic park on the edge of Dursley Gloucestershire, residents can enjoy space and a rural aspect. From leading interior design to our high standard of service, every aspect contributes to positive living. All rooms are en-suite and generously and luxuriously proportioned, decorated with direct dial phone, TV and internet. Homely comforts such as artwork, personalised doors and letter boxes provide familiarity.
Understanding & recognition…
Dementia affects people in different ways due to a range of factors. We place importance on understanding each of our residents individually, making sure we respect and embrace their personal identity and all that is special to them. We recognise the roles residents had in their home and in society and make sure these interests are acknowledged. Our dedicated and qualified staff provide extensive care from the early stages through to the later stages of dementia, always ensuring 24-hour support.
An environment to live in & enjoy…
Our home is an extension of our residents’ former homes, built on family values and supporting holistic needs – so that residents have the confidence and security to be themselves. We promote inclusion through a wide array of activities, events and outings.
Activities & hospitality…
We promote inclusion through a wide array of activities, events and outings. More often than not however, activity is centred around a spontaneous discussion or event as it would be at home. We welcome residents, friends and family to join in activities both planned and impromptu. Here at the Holly Oak it is about capturing the little moments and enjoying all aspects of the day.
Dining is an important part of the day and we provide delicious homemade food tailored to suit preferences and all dietary specifications.
Connected to family & friends…
We encourage our residents to keep in touch with family and friends in the home and outside. There are plenty of different places for a chat, cup of tea or walk in the garden. Bessy’s Tea Room is perfect for a fresh patisserie or decadent slice of gateau in the afternoon. Our private bar provides a stylish ambience for residents and guests to enjoy their favourite drink pre or post dinner.
