In this area there are a number of National Parks and Wildlife Trusts that both residents and visitors alike can enjoy throughout the year. The many fields and fauna make for an enjoyable day out. Perfect for those who wish to enjoy a scenic walk in the fresh country air with friends and family, but also those with a geological interest and a fondness for nature.
Here in Gloucestershire the Trust members ensure that the grounds are kept in good order, keeping the paths clear and safe for visitors, but also ensuring that the animals are well projected in their natural environment. With lots of open space, rivers and woodland the animals can enjoy their habitat undisturbed. In turn, visitors can enjoy amazing views in this beautiful part of the countryside.
The Trusts are home to lots of British wildlife, there is a wide array of birds in the locally, very popular for individuals who enjoy bird watching. The common doe deer can be seen solitary in the summer, and in small loose groups in the winter. The parks are also home to many species of owls, rabbits, badgers but these might be a little harder to spot.
