Here at The Hollies, we are continuously striving to maintain our high standards of care. Our residents’ happiness and health are very important to us, as we know it is also the main priority for their loved ones, especially when they are searching for a care home.
We at the Hollies are also maintaining high standards of care as pertaining to the National Gold Standards Framework (GSF), the UK’s leading provider in training for the end of life care. The Gold Standards Framework, simply put, is an organisation whose “job is to make sure that people who are paid to look after people, look after people really well.”
The Gold Standards Framework provides training for those working in not only care homes but hospitals, primary care facilities, hospices and other places where there are caregivers providing care to those unable to look after themselves. As well as providing this training, GSF assesses care homes against a very wide range of high standards. This year, we at The Hollies are pursuing an ‘outstanding’ rating for this assessment.
Caring for our residents is our top priority, and we are devoted to ensuring that the last years of their lives are filled with support, comfort and premium care. The Gold Standards Framework allows our staff to receive training in order to provide the coordinated, personalised care that we are known for.
“Over 3,000 care homes trained since 2004 (25% of all nursing homes) with almost 700 accredited and many re-accredited (some now 4th time 12 years on) with Quality Hallmark Award (partners Care England, NCF, NCA, RNHA). GSF Care Homes are recognised by CQC as examples of best practices. Revised shorter programme from 2018, fully updated and more affordable for homes, taught centrally or by Regional Training Centres.” – Gold Standards Framework
