Bessys Tea Room at Holly Oak
One of Gloucestershire’s most loved, Holly Oak in Dursley’s has opened its doors to the most fabulous Bessys Tea Room. Bessys was inspired by founder Kaye’s passion for top class hospitality and the belief that community spirit is fostered through coming together to share meaningful moments.
Bessys offers the most decadent afternoon teas including home made savouries and sweet treats such as fresh fruit tarts with vanilla cream or fluffy light profiteroles with white chocolate, all created by hospitality Chef Alison and her team. To compliment, the ultimate glass of champagne or a choice of fine teas and coffee.
A range of menus for special events are available to suit different parties such as the Garden menu with sandwich platters, warmed quiche and traditional lemon drizzle cake or the Greenhouse menu featuring smoke salmon, cream cheese and chive blini, homemade pork, rosemary and cheddar sausage rolls, followed by mini lemon meringue pie or apple and blackberry crumble tartlets. For a more lavish occasion the Conservatory Menu offers dishes such as a poached fillet of salmon with hollandaise or traditional beef Wellington served with a red wine jus followed by Pavlova with fresh fruit or sticky toffee pudding.
The food is simply delicious here at Bessys and in the homes – the Hollies Nursing Care home and Holly Oak Dementia Care Home. It’s no surprise as the Hospitality team have been trained by the best and follow authentic and traditional cooking methods using only the highest quality produce and locally sourced where possible. The team are also well versed to cater to individual preferences and any special dietary/allergen requirements.
